After the battles of Truk, the Japanese ships sank with their crews inside, filling them with human skeletons that can still be seen all these years later.

In 1969, Jacques Cousteau showed the world this ghost city with his documentary “Lagoon of Lost Ships”. After this, Truk truly became a scuba diving paradise! Many of the wrecks were still full of bodies and realising this, Japan started recovery efforts to repatriate many of those bodies for burial. However, a few of them still remain inside some of the Truk wrecks to this day, adding a poignant angle to these amazing wrecks!

Discover the history with your own mask and lenses aboard the Truk Master and create incredible memories! Please contact us to book your trip today!
